Knock Down
Knockdown subtraction is another great game we like to play in class. All you need is some blocks, something to throw, and this worksheet. All you need to do is build a tower with however many blocks. In the video, I used 10, but you could go 20, 30, however many you need. Throw an object and knock some down. You'll record how many blocks you started with, how many fell down, and how many are left. And then in the last column, you'll actually write the subtraction equation. It's the perfect mix of movement and math. Great for fast finishers, math centers, or home practice.
